A Jack Pine tree is a rising phoenix of the forest, who's seed may only be sown by the heat of a devastating forest fire. This is a chance to experience the poetic beauty of the Jack Pine story for yourself.

This Bonsai tree kit comes in its most elemental form - a hard as rock, sealed Jack Pine pinecone. Not just any Jack Pinecone... this one was literally picked from a majestic Jack Pine tree that Jack Pine's actual grandfather (who's name actually was Jack) planted at the actual entrance to the actual ancestral island where the music for "Left To Our Own Devices" was actually written. No Joke!

With this mighty fine pinecone comes a box of matches, a peat puck, illustrated instructions on how to make the fiery magic happen, plus a jar to plant your little seed in. Briefly: use the match to light a fire to open the pinecone to get the seed and plant it in the jar aaaand...Bonzai!!!

2. While the pinecones and the seeds therein are believed to be viable this is essentially a novelty collector's item. We strongly encourage you to try but we also offer no guarantees that you'll successfully grow a Jack Pine with this kit.

If you do manage to sprout the seed, don't expect to actually grow a long lasting bonsai tree in a little jar... seedlings need drainage, and nutrients, and proper attention... plant it in the ground ya dingus!   Maybe I could put all that in the instructions but that'd ruin the fun.   Anyway... buy one... and send me progress pics!
